Quilting Links

Here are some wonderful sites that I'd like to share with you.  These offer products or services that are particularly useful or just plain fun.  I've provided a short description of each site to help you decide
which ones to visit.

          www.nqaquilts.org
I can't say enough about The National Quilting Association.  It is a faboulous organization dedicated to
preserving and promoting the art of quilting.  They offer Teacher's Certification and Judges Certification
programs as well as many other educational programs.
Their annual quilt show is something not to be missed!

         www.RealWomenQuilt.com

This is such a great resource for quilters - an on-line magazine with stories, tips, an online store and everything a
quilter could ask for!  Almost like going to your local quilt store, but you can visit this one in your pj's.

         http://www.quilterscupboard.com
A fun little quilt store with lots of beautiful fabric, fun classes and friendly and helpful staff.
A great way to spend an afternoon - just chatting or shopping or both!

         http://www.redleafdesigns.com
Red Leaf Designs is a cozy Wyoming fabric store. They carry beautiful, hard- to- find batiks and original quilt patterns.
Check out the unique new approach to making a quilt with their Bible Study Quilt patterns; combines quilting with
         a Bible study!

         www.englanddesign.com
The site of  Cynthia England, a fabulous fiber artist known for her realistic and dimensional fabric 'pictures'.
My quilt 'Soli Deo Gloria' (see it in my Gallery and in her book Picture Piecing) was created using
some of her patterns. Her method uses only straight seams and  no set-in seams to create amazing
depth and realism.  Her book "Picture Pieceing" and her patterns are available on the site.

What quilter doesn't love chocolate?  I just discovered this little candy store when I was in Paradise for a
workshop and have to share it with you. They have "heavenly" chocolates , all hand made with the finest
ingredients.  Worth a trip to Paradise for this.

         www.nzquilter.com
The New Zealand Quilter magazine features the beautiful work of New Zealand quilters, and all the goings-on
in the quilting world the other side of the globe. It gives a good look at the many different cultural and artistic
quilts and fiber art being made, with lots of beautiful, glossy photos and interesting articles.

         www.quilterstv.com

An on-line 'TV' show for quilters and those who love quilting.  Lots of news, events and episodes with featured
designers, covering everything from applique, piecing, to dolls and fabric painting. There's sure to be something
for everyone interested in fiber and textile art.

        www.quilters-world.com
Quilter's World magazine is the perfect resource for quilters of all techincal abilities.  A great quilting magazine
with lots of photos, articles and easy-to-understand instructions.  I especially like the way they photograph the quilts -
in settings that show them off to their best advantage.

        www.studio101west.com
Studio 101 West will do a great job of photographing your quilts. Dennis Swanson is easy to work with, very helpful
and professional and you'll love the results!
